With the release of Poltergeist on blu-ray, a 2015 reboot of the 1982 classic film of the same name, we teamed up with 20th Century Fox to create some scary content. And released it at the scariest time of year, Halloween.
Using footage from the film, two 30-second videos were crafted to draw the targeted Facebook audience in with a somewhat innocent challenge, like finding the hidden hallows eve candy. Once nice and focused, one of the main characters from the film is introduced. Watch for yourself, he's a real joker.
20th Century Fox saw a higher than usual engagement rate with 1,480 shares, 2,334 comments and over 300 people clicking through to JB-HiFi store.
